Live in the beauty . . .
I caught part of a Subway commercial a few nights ago in which they had used a background similar to this (the hillside and sun rise) and I knew I wanted to use that idea for a background on a page in my art journal. I really think this sort of mixed-media art is so fun. I worked on this one for three days before I decided it was complete.

If you believe you can . . .
Another Donna Downey inspired art journal page. Happy to use of a few Prima flowers I've been hoarding for far too long!

My first canvas.
Inspired by Christy Tomlinson. I used a few of my favorite October Afternoon papers, a couple of buttons, and some Modge Podge and had a very fun evening creating this little 6x6 canvas.

Happy Valentine's Day.
Last year we made a similar valentine goody bag - a valentine fox - and the girls' loved handing them out. This year, I couldn't find anything close to that cute when searching the web, so I came up with my own pattern this time. Here is our wise old (or young) owl.

Watercolor Crayons.
This one is inspired by Dana Barbieri. I've never been one to free-hand anything - drawing or painting. Here I did a little of both and had a great time, too.

Another page.
Inspired by Lilith. I've been admiring her use of white space and paint/ink spatters for a very long time.
